Chef Okyo opened Sushi House in 1980 right at the beginning of the sushi boom. It quickly became renowned for it’s authentic Japanese cuisine and gained a large and loyal following. After Sushi House’s success, Chef Okyo began spreading his superb asian gastronomy by opening Taka Sushi in Santa Monica and two Yabu restaurants in West LA and West Hollywood. From Sushi to soba, Chef Okyo brought these and many other achievements to the Los Angeles food scene and beyond . Today, Chef Okyo and Sushi House continue providing their legendary fare just like they did in the 80’s.
